The Phantom Tollbooth

The Phantom Tollbooth is a magnificent book. It talks about sounds, words, numbers, and color. There is a boy named Milo that goes on an unexpected adventure that changes the way he sees life. The pictures and words may not pop of the page, but it is what the text says that counts. There are puns, idioms, figurative writing used as literal writing, and names of characters that relate to who they are. I recommend it to someone who loves ELA. A person that is amazed with all the possibilities of creative writing. I give the book 5 out of 5 stars. There may be some critics out there that find all the little things to say bad about this book, they're just haters. They probably envy Norton Juster because he can create and imagine things no one else has and see everything differently then anyone else.
